Stk 2303 1936 Chevy Panel Truck
Back in the day, the Chevrolet Panel Delivery was a workhorse. Today, this rare three-door truck makes a classic street rod. This '36 model was beautifully restored over a 9-year period. The owner (15 years) oversaw the process and has a complete photo record of the restoration. The body was meticulously prepped and reshot (2015) in Galapagos Green and Olive Silver with orange pinstripping. All chrome accent pieces are top-shelf, especially the classic front grill/headlight assembly. Wheels are Foose custom chrome mags (17”/18”) with nice Falken radials. The handsome leather interior is something to behold - look at the photos. There is seating for two in the contoured ivory leather bucket seats and room for at least four more passengers in the back. An Alpine digital system (GPS, AM/FM/CD, rear camera, USB) and LED lighting throughout the cabin enhance the traveling experience. To cruise in comfort, close the power windows and turn on the Southern AirMaxi A/C system. A complete package of VDO gauges is laid out in the billet aluminum dash and a Lacarra Polished Banjo/Leather wheel is affixed to the tilt-column. All interior accents are beautifully done in leather, wood finish or billet aluminum. Horsepower comes from a new GM350 crate motor – HO330bhp – that sounds wonderful. The beautifully detailed engine has an Edelbrock carb, tube headers, polished HyperDrive pulley system, Walker radiator, braided stainless hoses and auxiliary cooling fans. This motor mates well to the GM 400R4 automatic with Lokar shifter and external transmission cooler. Rear gearing is 3.73:1 in a GM housing. The solid chassis integrates a Fatman Fabrications IFS front suspension with manual rack and pinion steering. Chassis Engineering provided the multi-leaf rear suspension and manual brakes utilize a Wilwood master cylinder to control front discs (Wilwood) and rear drums. This handsome Chevrolet Panel Delivery must truly be seen to be appreciated. It is stunning. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
