1972 Jeep CJ-5

Description

STK 2432 1972 Jeep CJ-5

Many new Jeeps today have a fancy name, leather interior, expensive wheels and a huge sticker. In 1972, a base CJ-5 listed for just over $3,000.00 and was the foundation for all these models. Back in those days the option list was very brief and included such items as a heater or a soft-top. This 1972 CJ-5 was partially restored back to original condition in 2012. A solid body was refinished in dark blue with a new top and doors. There is a roll bar neatly tucked under the top. The interior includes nice black vinyl high-back bucket seats, all-weather carpeting and an AM/FM/cassette sound system. During this era the CJ-5, Jeep used powertrains from various manufacturers. This rebuilt 304ci AMC V8 was one of the best. It is lightweight, powerful and dependable. With 2V intake, it was rated at 150bhp and 245 lb/ft of torque. The transmission is a T-15 3-speed manual mated to a 2wd/4wd, Hi/Lo Dana 20 transfer case and manual front hubs. Standard axle ratio with the 304ci engine was 3.73:1. The solid chassis retains stock leaf spring suspension, manual steering and manual 4-wheel drum brakes. Billet 15" alloys mount nice BFG All-Terrain radial tires. This classic CJ-5 has been carefully restored and it is ready to go. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
