This beautiful 1966 Chevrolet is a BelAir that lived most of its life as an ordinary North Carolina family sedan. In 2004, the owner's family decided to start a project and created a BelAir like no other - the most comprehensive, fully documented frame-off restoration that you can imagine. From the 468ci 'Rat', to the suspension set-up, to the braking and custom exhaust systems, it has been reborn. The blueprinted 468ci big-block sports worked World Products cast iron heads, dual-feed Holley, aluminum intake, full tube headers and hand-built chambered exhaust w/cross-over. The flat tappet hydraulic cam is a torque cam with mild lift and duration. This BelAir is very streetable - and sounds awesome. Engine cooling is managed by a heavy-duty aluminum radiator, auxiliary cooling fans and a serpentine belt system. The transmission is a built 400 TurboHydramatic w/shift kit and 3000 stall converter. Underneath, the spotless chassis has been totally upgraded with a Hotchkiss suspension package that includes new 4-link components, a panhard bar and much more. The 12-bolt powder-coated differential houses an Eaton positraction unit with 4.10:1 gearing and Moser cover. Traction is provided by BFGoodrich G-Force radials mounted on 17”f/18”r Rocket Racing chrome steel wheels. From the rear, this BelAir sits a little high on the right side – ready for a light. Steering is power assisted and stopping power is managed by an SSBC Performance Brake 4-wheel power disc package. The stunning Chevrolet Metallic Gold exterior finish was applied in 2016 and puts all others to shame. The two-tone brown/white Ultraleather interior is flawless in every detail. Other features include: tilt leather-wrapped wheel, AM/FM stereo, Hurst 'Quarter Stik' shifter and AutoMeter gauge package w/tach positioned left of the steering column. This includes cashier's checks, certified checks, or bank checks of any kind. We cannot accept any credit card as payment or partial payment for a vehicle under any circumstance. Credit card transactions are ONLY accepted for the $500 deposit to hold the vehicle for 7 days while awaiting full payment.
