STK 2891 1951 Ford Sedan Deluxe

Ford introduced their post-war sedans in 1949. They were dubbed the 'shoebox' Fords and were the most modern looking vehicle produced in the era. In '51 Ford added a new front-end with a 'dual spinner' grill that made the body appear much wider than previous models. Our 1951 Deluxe Tudor Sedan has been in the possession of one family since new and has been partially restored over the years. The Ford left the factory with a Black exterior but received a full Burgundy respray in 1998. It is accented by steel wheels w/caps/beauty rings and wide-white BFG Silvertown bias-ply tires. (A pair of rear fender skirts are also included in the sale.) The interior was also refreshed with burgundy/gray cloth upholstery and door cards. The classic dashboard looks much like it did in 1951 including a factory AM radio (working) and wind-up clock. Everything under the hood looks original. This sedan is powered by Ford's 239ci flathead V8 (B-code) rated at 100hp. It is said to have never been rebuilt and is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission with column shift. Factory differential gearing for the '51 Ford is 3.73:1. Front suspension is coil springs along with semi-elliptic rear springs. The electrical system is a generator-based 6-volt setup and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes provide stopping power. This classic '51 Ford Deluxe is ready for your next summer cruise-in. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
