STK 2917 1967 Chevrolet El Camino

The second generation El Camino was introduced in 1964 and was based on the Chevelle platform. Our '67 El Camino, originally from California, has received a full frame-off restoration with significant mechanical upgrades. The exterior was reshot in two-stage FoMoCo 'Wimbledon White' and is stunning. Chrome and stainless are excellent and American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels with 275/60x15” BFG Radial T/A tires provide great accents. The six-foot bed is fitted with a custom rubber mat and there is a hitch receiver hidden behind the license plate. Its handsome black vinyl interior was restored and is in very good condition. Legendary Auto Interior components were used for seat covers/door panels and both the dash and the headliner are outstanding. Comfort features include factory air conditioning (all new components w/R134), 300w AM/FM/CD changer stereo system, 3-spoke Grant wheel, tinted windows, Autogage gauges and an 8,000 rpm tachometer. The original powerplant has been replaced with a totally built 427ci big-block. It is said that this '66 motor was machined with a .060 overbore and fitted with 10:1 pistons. (The 'Rat' runs fine on 91 octane.) Heads are rare LS7s with rectangular ports and 2.25” /1.88” valves. The performance cam utilizes flat tappet solid lifters and fuel is supplied by a Holley Strip Dominator single-plane aluminum intake fitted with a 750cfm double-pumper. Spark is furnished by an MSD ignition, exhaust is routed through a set of tube-headers to mellow 3” pipes and an aluminum radiator manages cooling. A Muncie M-22 4-speed 'Rock Crusher' manual transmission (2.20 low) w/Hurst Comp+ shifter transfers power to a rebuilt stock differential (single wheel) with 3.08:1 gears. The chassis mounts power steering and power disc/drum brakes (new) w/electric vacuum dual-master. Other upgrades include new ball joints, idler arms, rear air-shocks, a balanced driveshaft and new u-joints. Look at the photos again, but understand that this sweet El Camino must be seen to be fully appreciated. It is ready for a new owner who will value this rare Bowtie. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
