STK 2940 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Chevrolet manufactured the Monte Carlo beginning in 1970 and marketed it as the first 'personal luxury car' of the Chevrolet brand. First gen Monte Carlos were based on the 'A-Special” platform created by GM for the Pontiac Grand Prix. Our 2-owner 1971 Monte Carlo has been carefully restored (2008) and is a great performance version of this rare enduring classic. The current owner (last 15 years) oversaw the restoration and has driven his Monte Carlo in many events including the Hot Rod Power Tour. A comprehensive record of the restoration – documentation, photos and receipts(2-stage) original Nevada Silver with a new contrasting black vinyl top. Wheels are Chevy 15” Rally wheels with Kumho radial tires. (A second set of American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels and tires is available as an additional transaction.) A carefully restored black cloth/vinyl interior includes features Old Air Products A/C, wood grain applique dash, gauges, tinted windows and an aftermarket AM/FM stereo system. Horsepower is furnished by a new 350 GM crate motor that is fitted with GM aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb and tube headers. A GM 700R4 automatic transmission with column shift transfers power to a 10-bolt differential with street gearing. The chassis is equipped with power steering and power-assisted front disc/rear drum brakes. This rare, fully restored classic Monte Carlo will vastly improve the value of your garage – and surprise some folks on the street. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
