Fully Restored 350 V8
STK 2946 1979 Chevrolet Scottsdale C-10
This three-owner C-10 Chevy Scottsdale 2-WD short-bed was the beneficiary of an exceptional restoration in 2009. We are unable to list everything that was done to this truck in this space. However, a record of the restoration process, photographs and receipts is documented in a complete set of binders. The Scottsdale was disassembled right down to the cab. Every component was blasted, new front fenders were installed and overall body preparation was outstanding. The stunning Blue Flame Metallic finish (FoMoCo-SZ code) was professionally sprayed onto a virtually perfect body ($8k+). An impressive raised hood has been added and all exterior chrome (bumpers/grill) is new. The finish of the bed is nearly flawless and Foose 18”x8”/9” chrome alloys w/BFGoodrich G-Force T/A radials provide a perfect accent. The completely refreshed interior includes new rolled/pleated vinyl upholstery and fresh carpets. Some of the comfort and convenience features include new A/C, tinted windows, power locks, white-faced Omega Kustom Instruments gauges and a custom wheel. New window glass/seals have been installed along with new door panels, dash, seat belts and a raging JVC AM/FM/CD remote stereo system. The drivetrain was also totally upgraded. Our Scottsdale is now powered by a GM 350ci ZZ4 (355bhp-405lb/ft) crate motor installed by Everett Chevrolet. It is fitted with GM single-plane aluminum intake, aluminum heads, 750cfm dual-feed Holley carburetor, tube headers and 2-1/2” exhaust with Thrush mufflers. The ZZ4 is mated to a rebuilt GM TH350 Turbo-Hydramatic transmission that transfers power to a refreshed differential with 3.07:1 gearing. Enhancements to the restored/painted chassis include power steering and power disc/drum brakes with new dual master cylinder. Other upgrades include new shocks, brakes, fuel tank and aluminum radiator. If you have been looking for a restored top-shelf Scottsdale with GM/ZZ performance, come and drive this one – you will be won-over. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
