STK 2936 1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th Anniversary
The popular Corvette C3 was produced from 1968 through 1982. This 1978 coupe has been partially restored and based on the trim tag appears to be an original 'Special 25th Anniversary Edition' model. That option package included a distinctive two-tone paint scheme of Silver Metallic and Charcoal Silver (13U/07M) with pinstripping to accentuate body panels. Cast aluminum wheels/sport mirrors were additional required options with the package. These were not considered to be 'Limited Edition' models, but only about 15,200 were produced. Our 1978 Corvette has been partially restored and garage kept by the current owner (16 years) and is a beautiful example of this C3 model. The coupe was professionally refinished in the correct color scheme (2010) and all body panels are very true. BFG Radial T/A tires with excellent tread remaining are mounted on 15” cast aluminum wheels. The red leather interior was also restored in 2010 and is in excellent condition. Seat covers, door-cards, carpeting and dash-pad are all present well. Painted t-tops are in good condition. This coupe is equipped with manual tinted windows, remote mirrors and a raging aftermarket Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo system. It is also equipped with air conditioning, but the system is currently inop. Our owner is not positive that the engine is the original, but has no reason to believe that it is not. According to the VIN it was delivered with a 350ci L48 small-block rated at 175hp with a Rochester Quadrajet 4V and GM HEI electronic ignition. A new fuel pump, tank sending-unit and Flowmaster exhaust have been recently installed. The 4-speed manual transmission transfers 280lb/ft of torque to a stock posi-traction differential. A solid chassis utilizes power steering and power disc brakes with 4-piston calipers (all new). The owner has provided us with the original Owner's Manual along with many receipts. Credit card transactions are ONLY accepted for the $500 deposit to hold the vehicle for 7 days while awaiting full payment.
