1950 Ford Custom Sedan

Description

STK 3000 1950 Ford Custom Sedan

There was a sense of urgency for the big three automakers to get cars to market after WWII. Ford won the battle when they introduced the Ford Custom in the fall of 1948 – the 'Shoebox' Ford. This 1950 Ford Custom Sedan has been the recipient of a full restoration. The straight, solid body has a new coat of Ford Black (2015) that is in very good condition. Accents include nice chrome, a vintage hood ornament and steel wheels with caps/rings that mount virtually new Coker 15” wide-white radial tires. The interior has been nicely restored in period correct cloth upholstery with a dash and steering wheel that are classic '50's Ford. Air conditioning has been added and the aftermarket AM/FM/Bluetooth fits perfectly. Our Ford is powered by a 302ci Windsor that was rebuilt in 2020. It is fitted with FITech throttle body injection and runs strong. The factory column shift has also been modified to handle a rebuilt Ford C-4 3-speed automatic transmission. Torque is transferred to an 8” differential w/3.00:1 gearing. The chassis is fitted with power steering and power assisted 4-wheel hydraulic brake drums. This is a classic Ford sedan that has had a careful restoration and will be an excellent addition to your Blue Oval garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
