1959 Morris Minor 1000

Description

STK 3043 1959 Morris Minor 1000

The Morris Minor is a British economy car that began production in 1948. Over 1.5 million were produced before production ceased in 1972. This 1959 2-door Salon was partially restored in 2020 and is an outstanding example of one of the most popular models - the Morris Minor 1000. The 1000 model featured a redesigned one-piece windshield, updated exterior badging and a newly developed A-Series 4-cylinder engine that would also power numerous other BMC models including the AH Sprite and MG Midget. The unitary body of this Morris was carefully reshot in original grey and factory steel wheels w/caps mount 14” Westlake radial tires. Chrome trim is in overall good condition. The restored burgundy interior is also in very good nick. Our owner states that 948cc engine was rebuilt in 1974 and is backed by a four-speed manual gearbox that shifts well. The chassis is equipped with rack and pinion steering, adjustable torsion bar front suspension and rear leaf springs. Brakes are 4-wheel manual drum. This classic Morris Minor 1000 does the famous British icon proud - don't wait long. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
