STK 3132 1967 Pontiac GTO
Few first generation cars in automotive history have garnered as much popularity as the Pontiac GTO. From a low-key start as an option for the Tempest sedan in 1964 to the iconic 1967 GTO, this first generation Pontiac muscle car was a history maker. Before we begin with the details on this '67 GTO, we must first establish that it is a 1-OWNER, North Carolina GTO and a stunning example of an original “Goat”. (Our owner has provided documentation including the Shipping Record and Factory Invoice along with a 1967 NC license tag.) The GTO received an excellent partial restoration in 2016 including a beautiful 2-stage respray of the original British Racing Green finish. This was a 'Special Order' color from the factory as noted on the shipping record. A new black vinyl top and all of the chrome are outstanding. Pontiac 5-spoke 14” Rally Wheels mount period correct BFGoodrich Silvertown redline radials. The black vinyl bucket seat interior is totally original (except carpet) and is in excellent condition. Our classic GTO is equipped with aftermarket air conditioning, tinted windows, factory gauges, additional gauge package and an AM radio with power antenna. In 1967, Pontiac increased the GTO engine displacement from 389 CI to 400 CI. The standard engine produced 335HP and 431lb/ft of torque. The owner states that this is the matching numbers base engine that received a complete rebuild in 2012 to stock specs. Upgrades include a new alternator, water pump and aluminum radiator. It is backed by a GM 3-speed TurboHydramatic transmission w/console shift and Pontiac's Saf-T-Track positraction differential with factory gearing. Power-assisted front discs and rear drums w/new booster/dual master cylinder provide braking. A new exhaust system has also been installed. This outstanding, one-owner '67 Pontiac GTO is very impressive and will soon make a new Poncho owner very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
