1940 Scootmaster

Description

Old-Style Rope Start
Dennis Carpenter Collection

STK 10042 1940s Scootmaster

Not much is known about the Scootmaster, except that it was manufactured in Michigan. This particular scooter came from the collection of Dennis Carpenter. We believe it is from the 1940s. To start it, you need to wrap the rope around and pull. You must re-notch each time you pull. Most people would tie the starting rope to the handles once started so as not to lose it! This Scootmaster is a beautiful restoration and would be a fun addition to any garage. This is a running scooter but it does not have a title. Since it is only 3 HP, it is classified as a Moped and can be registered but not titled in NC. Check with your local DMV for their requirements. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS-IS"
