TBird 292ci V8 Fully Restored
STK 3294 1956 Ford Crown Victoria
Ford produced many versions of their full-size model in 1956 – their only car model in '56. This top-of-the-line Crown Victoria with its unique hardtop styling, fully chromed front end, subtle rear fins and classic taillights was 1956 to perfection. A full restoration (2012) included a professional respray of Turquoise and White that is in excellent condition. Exterior accents include chrome bumper guards, rear fender skirts and 15” BFG wide-white bias ply tires w/full wheel covers. The interior was fully restored with Black/White pleated vinyl upholstery, beautiful carpeting and a classic dash with AM radio and factory gauges - very easy to enjoy. Under the hood is an M-Code Thunderbird 292ci V8 that produces 200 horsepower and 289 lb/ft of torque. It is said to have never required a rebuild and runs like a timepiece. Behind the Y-block is the factory 3-speed manual transmission. In 1956 Ford upgraded all of their cars from a 6-volt electrical system to a 12-volt system with 30-amp generator. The chassis is fitted with manual steering and manual 4-wheel drum brakes. Look at the photos again - the attention to detail applied to the restoration of this Crown Victoria hardtop is outstanding. This Ford is ready for a new owner who will appreciate the beauty and style of this full-size classic. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
