STK 3964 1972 Dodge Charger
The 1972 Dodge Charger marked the final year of this "second-generation" muscle car before a shift to more refined, federally-regulated cars. The Charger retained the aggressive styling of previous years and despite a dip in horsepower, it remained a symbol of the '70s muscle car culture. This 3-owner, mostly original Dodge Charger is a fine example of this handsome classic. It has received a professional 2-stage respray of Green Gold Metallic (JF5), a very rare color in '72 - less than 25 units produced. All chrome/stainless is in very good condition and factory MOPAR rally wheels mount 14” Hercules performance radials. The original cream vinyl interior is in excellent condition. Factory vinyl upholstery has been well protected by seat covers. The dash is trimmed in wood grain and contains a full set of factory analog gauges and an original AM radio. Features include tinted windows, remote control sport mirror and rear defroster. The Charger is powered by a 318ci 'LA' motor that was rated at 165hp with a 2-barrel carburetor. We are told that the engine has not required a rebuild and it sounds strong. The 318 sits in a clean engine compartment and is backed by Chrysler's indestructible TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission with console shifter. The chassis is equipped with power steering and power drum brakes w/dual master cylinder. This is a rare MOPAR – a luxury musclecar and a bona fide classic. The Charger is a memorable part of Dodge's automotive legacy. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
