350ci - 2 Removable Convertible Tops
STK 3985 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
This 1971 Corvette convertible is a very original example of the C3 model. The Corvette is show quality and has been judged at multiple NCRS events - it received a Top-Flight Award in 2021 with a composite score of 96.8. The owner states that the odometer mileage of 25,500 is correct and that all major components are numbers/date code matching. Virtually everything is original except for the battery, exhaust, belts, tires, brake hoses and calipers. The body has been meticulously maintained and the factory Bridgehampton Blue (code 979) finish is in good condition. As is common with fiberglass bodies, older finishes tend to develop fine 'spider-webbing' and that is the case here with this original finish - it speaks of character. Chrome bumpers and accent pieces are in outstanding condition. This roadster was optioned with a rare removable factory hardtop and the original white soft top is in good condition. The original Dark Blue (code 412) vinyl interior is also in very good condition - upholstery, dashboard, door cards and carpeting all present well. All factory gauges function well, including the ticking clock, and tunes are provided by the original AM/FM sound system.
The entire drivetrain of this C3 is matching numbers. Horsepower is furnished by the 350ci L48 base engine that has never required a rebuild. It was rated at 270hp with 8.5:1 compression and is fitted with factory components including cast iron intake, Rochester Quadrajet 4V carburetor, distributor w/tach drive, chrome shielding, rams-horn exhaust manifolds. (The '71 L48 was not factory equipped with a smog pump.) This small-block is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission w/factory shifter and posi-traction differential w/3.36:1 gearing. The clean, solid chassis has power steering, power 4-piston caliper disc brakes, upgraded shocks. and a new exhaust system. BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires are mounted on correct 15x8” GM rally wheels w/centers and trim rings. If you are looking for a C3 roadster in virtually original condition, come take a look at this handsome Bridgehampton Blue beauty - you will not be disappointed. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
