Stk. 2277 1957 Chevrolet 2-Door BelAir
The 1957 BelAir may arguably be the most popular of the tri-five Chevrolets. This 2-door BelAir is an excellent, mostly original example of this classic. In a reasonable time warp, it could have easily been sitting in a dealer's showroom yesterday. The muted rumble from the small block is music. The 'V' code VIN number confirms that the car was delivered with a V-8. By 1957 GM no longer stamped the continuous engine number on the block. Some assembly plants did stamp a source code, production date and engine type on the pad, but the pad on this motor has no information. The owner states that it is the original 283ci and has never been rebuilt. It appears to be stock, fitted with the 4-barrrel manifold, rams-horn exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust. Behind the mighty-mouse, sits a 2-speed PowerGlide that shifts flawlessly. The Turquoise/White exterior was professionally reshot in 1982 and remains in very good condition. The body is absolutely straight and all trim looks virtually new. Factory spinner hubcaps and rear fender skirts complete the exterior package. The only thing that rivals the exterior is the interior. We are told that it is totally original and it appears to be in 1957 condition. This beautiful BelAir hardtop belongs in your tri-five collection. Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at www.autobarnclassiccars.com for additional information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
