Description

Stk 2358 1984 Jeep Scrambler CJ-8

The Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler was a long wheelbase version of the CJ-7. The wheelbase was extended to 103 inches and featured a pick-up style box behind the rear seat. Introduced in 1981 and manufactured through 1986, fewer than 30,000 total units were produced and there are very few unmolested CJ-8s around today. This 1984 Jeep Scrambler is a fully restored example of this unusual CJ-series Jeep. Our CJ-8 body was refinished using 'old school' lacquer paint and it is sharp. The color is very similar to Omaha Orange, a Jeep color used in the '70s. All body and floor pans are solid and the interior panels/bed were finished with a Rhino coating. The folding windshield, canvas doors and bikini top are all in good condition. Corbeau Sport seats were added when the interior was restored. Other features include AM/FM stereo, roll cage, chrome side-bars and front and rear 'Bull Bars'. This Scrambler is powered by the indestructible cast-iron 258ci (4.2L) straight six that produces 112bhp and 210ft/lb of grunt at only 1,800 RPM. The transmission is a 4-speed manual mated to a dual-mode (2wd/4wd), dual speed (Hi/Lo) Dana 300 transfer case and manual front hubs. Factory gearing was 3.73:1 for this drivetrain configuration. Components of the front/rear leaf spring suspension have been refreshed and new front disc/rear drum brakes are power-assisted. Power steering and 15" Motorsports Ultra alloy wheels mounting new BFG All-Terrain radial tires complete the suspension package. This CJ-8 is ready for the new owner who will appreciate the great look and muscle of this rare Jeep. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
