1962 Chevrolet C10 Patina

Description

STK 2479 1962 Chevrolet C-10

This classic 1962 Chevrolet Deluxe stepside is a great, mostly original example of the first-generation C-10 pickup. Our owner made every effort to maintain the truck's aged 'patina' while carefully upgrading the truck's mechanicals. The 283ci small-block was professionally rebuilt in 2016 and there are receipts for most work done. The rebuild included: machine work, trueing rods, all new bearings, Hastings rings and new harmonic balancer. The GM 'Power Pack' heads were reconditioned with a machine grind, new valves, springs, guides and seals. An EngineTek Performance cam/lifters was installed - a good fit with the Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley 650cfm carb and GM 'rams horn' exhaust manifolds. The motor is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission with column shift. Hydraulic clutch linkage components including the slave cylinder and lines have been refreshed. Other upgraded components include: battery, master cylinder, fuel tank, dual exhaust and reconditioned radiator. Early C-10 front suspension utilized a torsion bar design in conjunction with trailing arms in the rear. Brakes are 4-wheel manual drum and radial whitewalls are in very good condition. The stepside's body was refinished in 1973 and the paint is again in 'patina' condition with appropriate weathering. The interior appears very original. There is replacement seat upholstery, AM/FM radio, new rubber seals and a new windshield. A custom truck cover is also included in the sale. If you are looking for a solid Gen1 C-10 with some nice 'patina', you will be pleased with this truck. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
