This 1992 Chevy 1500 is a truly updated muscle machine, partially restored, but not quite the same as delivered some 26 years ago. The logos say 'SS454' - the original HD option package. However, our owner decided to go big with a GM 'ZZ505-502ci Deluxe' crate motor that produces 505bhp. The cast-iron block has 4-bolt mains, forged steel rods, forged aluminum pistons, hydraulic roller cam (.527/.544 lift) and aluminum oval-port 9.6:1 heads. (The original 454 was running fine when removed and is included - on a pallet - with the sale.) The engine transformation occurred in 2016 and the owner has all documentation relating to the work done. The $10K invested in the upgrade includes an HEI ignition and 'Fast 2.0' EZ-EFI Self-Tuning fuel injection system that has a monitoring/tuning system mounted in the cab. Stainless Hedman headers feed the 2-1/2” stainless exhaust and the sound is stunning. A 4L80E TCI 'Super StreetFighter' 4-speed automatic w/TCI torque convertor was installed to manage the increased torque of the 502. (There is also a cab monitor/tuner for transmission functions.) The posi-traction differential holds 4.10:1 gears (2WD) and all this performs well on pump gas. The beautiful Black re-spray includes all the correct SS logos, a full bedliner and a fiberglass raised hood. The original burgundy cloth interior and carpets are in very good condition. For comfort and convenience, the pick-up has A/C, power tinted windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cruise and a full factory gauge package w/tach. You can listen to your favorite tunes on a Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette stereo system. Chassis enhancements include power steering, refreshed power disc/drum brakes and 15” factory chrome SS454 wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Credit card transactions are ONLY accepted for the $500 deposit to hold the vehicle for 7 days while awaiting full payment.
