STK 2625 1965 Ford Cobra Factory Five Replica

Factory Five has an excellent reputation in the replicar business. Based in Wareham, MA, they produce various replicar models but the mainstay of their mission is the Shelby Cobra. This beautiful Shelby Cobra Mark I is a prime example of what a replicar should be. The car was completed in 1998 using the Factory Five body, frame and suspension along with components from a Mustang GT – engine, transmission, driveshaft, differential, brakes and spindles. The fiberglass exterior was professionally finished in Viper Blue with white stripes. The finish is in very good condition as is the black vinyl interior. (Additional Street Performer high-back seats are also included.) A full compliment of AutoMeter vintage gauges are perfectly positioned in the functional dash and the both foot-wells have been dropped. Each seat is equipped with a 5-point racing lap/shoulder harness and there is a driver-side roll bar. Under the hood, the rebuilt 5.0 Mustang HO engine has been fitted with a Ford Performance E303 camshaft (282/282/.498”) and backed by a Mustang T-5 5-speed manual transmission. The rumble from the 4-into-1 side-pipe leaves no mistake that this motor is all business. The Mark I front suspension utilizes coil-over adjustable shocks and Mustang control arms. A Mustang posi-traction 8.8” rear differential (3.55:1) utilizes the Factory Five 3-link suspension configuration and panhard bar. Factory Five Halibrand-style aluminum wheels are period correct for the '65 Cobra and are fitted with Toyo Proxis radials. Brakes are 4-wheel power discs and a custom car cover is included. The current owner (14 yrs) has taken very good care of this handsome Cobra and is now ready to pass it on to the next caretaker. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
