1963 Chevrolet Chevy II

STK 2187 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II
In 1962, Chevrolet began production of the Chevy II to compete in the compact market. The original Chevy II was powered by a 194ci straight 6. This 1963 Chevy II Pro-Stock has a little different approach to getting down the road. The fully restored (2009) 2-door post is now powered by one of Chevy's best – the 327. The motor has been carefully built to provide ultimate performance. Enhancements include: .030 overbore, 11:1 dome forged pistons, steel crank, Jegs 72cc polished/ported aluminum heads with 2.05/1.95 valves, Weland 2x4 Tunnel Ram and dual Holley 450cfm carbs. The Lunati Billet Roller Cam provides .591/.597 lift and 250/259 duration @ 50. The valve train is topped off with Comp Roller rockers and .0080 push rods. Fire comes from an MSD Pro-Billet distributor and exhaust is routed through Sanderson headers and a free flowing 3” exhaust. Every detail has been done to perfection. The 350 automatic contains a TCI full manual valve body and is driven by a 3500-stall Boss Hog converter. A narrowed 9” Ford differential w/3.50:1 gears is held tight by a Checkered Racing 4-link coil-over suspension. Front sub-frame and coil suspension is also Checkered Racing with a Mustang II rack/pinion. Braking is Wilwood 4-wheel discs and wheels are Weldstar with 3” Mickey Thompson fronts and Hoosier 29x18.5x15 rears. With a completed chassis, the exterior of the Chevy II was then carefully refinished in PPG Lemon Yellow. The fully customized black vinyl interior incorporated a full roll cage, custom dash w/AutoMeter gauges, racing-style buckets/belts, B+M shifter, tinted windows and an AM/FM/CD system with rear seat sub-woofer. There was no Option Code in Chevrolet's 1963 order system for this amazing Chevy II – it is one-of-a-kind and is going to make a new owner very proud.
