454 Big Block 1971 Front End Clip
STK 2676 1968 Chevrolet C10
Chevrolet referred to the 1968 C-10 pickup as the 'WorkPower' truck. Most were equipped with a 250ci straight six. Big-block V8 motors were reserved for Impalas, Chevelles and Corvettes. This 1968 C-10 4x2 is a far cry from that six-cylinder model - now a powerful, very classy pick-up. The factory front end was replaced with the more modern 1971 front clip and the 2002 stepside bed is fitted with a stylish GM fiberglass cover. Cab doors were replaced and the entire body was then repainted Victory Red. It is a stunning professional 2-stage job. The suspension has been lowered slightly and Chevrolet rally wheels are fitted with Winston GT white-letter radials. The interior has been nicely redone in cloth and vinyl. A full compliment of gauges and a SunSuper tach monitor everything going on under the hood. There is also a JVC stereo system for tunes and a GM sport wheel. That said, this truck is not just about looks - it is also about go. Under the hood is a GM 454ci big block, totally rebuilt and sounding strong. It is equipped with a mild hydraulic cam, GM intake, Rochester Quadra-Jet carb and full tube headers. This is a serious street motor. The 'Rat' is backed by a GM 350 Turbo-Hydramatic w/shift kit and a 12-bolt positraction rear end with 3.08:1 gears. Power steering is very helpful and braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums (dual master). Put this Chevy C-10 in your driveway and we guarantee that the neighbors will come over for a look. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
