STK 2683 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T Tribute
Muscle cars were at their peak in 1969. There was a buffet to choose from – compact, mid-size or full size. The Dodge Coronet R/T was one of MOPARS strongest. Based on the MOPAR 'B' body platform and fitted with a powerful big-block drivetrain, this Dodge was a perfect example of muscle. Our 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T tribute did not leave the factory as an R/T, but received a full 'R/T' restoration in 2017. The exterior was carefully prepped and received a beautiful 2-stage respray of a custom color, Orange Rotor Glow - with R/T 'bubble bee' strips ghosted into the rear quarters and R/T hood scoops. The new tan vinyl interior is in excellent condition - headrests are embossed with R/T, windows are factory tinted and sounds are provided by a factory correct thumb wheel AM/FM radio. According to the owner, the built/balanced 440 'Wedge' was stroked to 511ci. The big-block is fitted with a 'Six Pack” 3x2 setup of Holley carbs and Ramcharger fresh-air box. Heads are aluminum w/stainless valves and roller-rockers. The hydraulic-roller cam has .584 lift/294 duration and exhaust exits through ceramic Hooker headers to a custom 3” system w/balance tube and Magnaflow mufflers. Cooling is managed by a Champion aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. This MOPAR is all business – top-shelf. The Wedge is backed by a Chrysler 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission w/3k stall convertor and 8-3/4” Suretrac differential that houses 2.91:1 gears. The chassis is equipped with power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes w/dual master. Our Coronet strikes a nice stance with torsion bar front suspension and HD front sway bar. Polished 17x8 American Torque Thrust wheels mount Nitro performance radial tires – 225/50f & 275/50r. This is a rare MOPAR. Everything restored or replaced, this car is like new, less than 500 miles since restoration was completed. Study the photos of this amazing Dodge R/T tribute - this Coronet is impressive.
