New Paint 2019 402 Big Block V8
STK 2702 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
The second generation of the Chevelle was an iconic model. Many enthusiasts consider it to be the most desirable representation of Chevy's muscle car. Our 1966 Chevelle convertible is a real SS396 (Code 138….) and has been the beneficiary of a nice restoration. The straight exterior was professionally re-shot (2019) in two-stage Butternut Yellow and is in very good nick. All SS396 emblems/logos appear to be correct and polished Hurst wheels mount 245/50R17 Yokohama radials. A manual black convertible top (w/boot) is in good condition. The handsome refreshed black vinyl interior is very inviting and is virtually stock in appearance. A full console holds a Hurst Comp+ shifter and there is an aftermarket gauge package. All window glass is new and there is an AM/FM stereo system for tunes. The owner states that the engine is 402ci big-block (suffix CKN) furnished by a 1970 Chevelle. It is fitted with a mild street cam, Edelbrock aluminum intake and double-pumper Holley. Spark is furnished by an Accel ignition and the sound is magnificent through a set of tube headers and free-flowing exhaust. The 4-speed manual transmission transfers power to a factory 12-bolt differential (believed to be positraction). A clean chassis mounts factory power steering and 4-wheel drum brakes. This SS396 is ready for a new owner who will truly value this classic Bowtie. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
