STK 2709 1959 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite

The Austin Healey Sprite Mark I, better known as the Frogeye, was produced from 1958 through 1961. This 1959 Sprite Mark I was fully restored and is in great 'nick'. Look at the pictures - it is a stunning example of the iconic British roadster. The exterior was carefully reshot in original 'Old English White' (2014) and all of the chrome trim is excellent condition. The restored red interior is as nice as the exterior. There is a new top and cockpit tonneau cover (zippered), but the top bow and side curtains are not available. The owner states that 948cc engine is matching numbers and was completely rebuilt in 2017. The original dual SU carbs were replaced with a single Weber 2V intake/carb conversion and the four-speed manual gearbox shifts flawlessly. Front lever shocks work in conjunction with A-arms/coils and rear double trailing links/semi-elliptic leaf springs. Brakes are 4-wheel manual drum and 13” Hankook radial tires are mounted on new Minilite alloy wheels. This beautiful 'Frogeye' Sprite does the famous British icon proud. Don't wait long. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
