Stunning Street Rod - Restored 2012
454 V8 - Great Show Car

STK 3084 1942 Street Rod

There were not many Fords built in 1942 as assembly plants were being converted to produce equipment for the military. That said, no factory ever produced a Ford coupe like this one. Our absolutely stunning 1942 Ford Street Rod is a masterpiece. The Ford received a full restoration (2012) that incorporated tasteful customization with a broad range of mechanical enhancements - all meticulously carried out. The end result is truly stunning. The coupe body was modestly chopped and refinished in a virtually perfect coat of Mocha Frost Metallic. All handles and trim have been shaved and the headlights, taillights and exhaust outlets have been beautifully 'frenched'. Electric door latches are managed by three separate systems and the front fascia has been carefully redesigned to give the vertical bar grill a whole new look. The front bumper has been retained and the rear was deleted. Finally, the exterior is accented with 17”/18” 5-spoke Billet Specialties wheels that mount Pirelli performance radials. The well-designed interior is pure craftsmanship. Smart beige leather is complimented by a stylish dash that incorporates a full package of digital gauges. Comfortable bucket seats (power driver), custom center console, A/C, power tinted windows/trunk and tilt-wheel complete the interior. Sounds are furnished by a premium Pioneer AM/FM/CD sound system and the fully upholstered trunk has a power release. A beautifully detailed engine compartment (note the custom firewall) houses a 454ci Chevy big-block that sounds amazing and is very streetable. It is equipped with a high-rise intake, Edelbrock carb and electric fuel pump. The hydraulic cam burbles with a mild lift/duration and tube headers exit into a free-flowing dual exhaust. An aluminum radiator w/electric fans handles cooling and an Optima battery furnishes juice. The 700R43 automatic trans transfers torque to a GM 10-bolt differential with street gearing. A virtually spotless custom chassis mounts power steering, power disc/drum brakes w/Hydroboost (pressure supplied by power steering pump to power the brake booster) and multi-link rear suspension w/coilover shocks. This handsome '42 Ford street rod is ready for its new home - your Blue Oval garage? ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
