1964 Ford Galaxie 500
STK 2153 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 The Ford Galaxie 500 was the top trim level for the '64 Ford and included all of the Custom trim, plus chrome fender frames and a full length chrome strip. Many consider the 1964 500 model to be the most attractive Galaxie ever built. All of the 1964 Fords are legendary for their racing history - drivers wheeling factory lightweight cars manufactured by Ford Motor Company exclusively for the race circuit. Racing gave these cars instant popularity that continues to this day. The current owner has coddled this low-mileage Galaxie 500 hardtop for the past 12 years. It is virtually original with the exception of a new coat of Light Blue paint that has been well maintained (custom car cover included). All of the chrome and stainless trim is in good condition. Narrow whitewalls and correct full wheel covers w/spinners look great with the factory fender skirts The all-original dark blue interior is also in very good condition - the vinyl upholstery, door cards, dash and accessories all look great. Windows are tinted and the factory air conditioning is fully functional. Power comes from a matching numbers 352ci-2V/220hp engine that has never required a rebuild. This FE series engine is backed by Ford's three-speed Cruise-o-Matic transmission. A solid chassis is equipped with power steering and drum brakes. The 1964 Galaxie was described by the Ford marketing team as A car bred in open competition and built for total performance. This handsome Galaxie 'survivor' is a solid investment. Call 800.650.1055, or visit www.autobarnclassiccars.com for additional information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD AS IS.
