STK 3125 2005 Dodge Ram SRT 10 Yellow Fever Quad Cab
Daimler/Chrysler's Performance Vehicle Operations Division created the Dodge Ram SRT-10 along with the engineers from the Dodge Viper group. Introduced in 2004, the Ram SRT-10 was based on the Dodge Ram regular cab pickup, but had serious performance enhancements. The 'Viper Truck' was only produced for three model years (2004-2006) with a production total of just over 10,000 trucks – they are a rare breed. The QuadCab version was added to the 2005/06 model lineup. The Ram SRT-10 features an 8.3 liter Chrysler/Viper V-10 that produces 500bhp and 525lb/ft of torque. During testing, an SRT-10 Quad Cab with a curb weight of 5,572lb reached a top speed of 147 mph and posted quarter mile times in the mid-13s.
This SRT-10 QuadCab is a Limited Edition 'Yellow Fever' model finished in Solar Yellow w/raised fiberglass 'Black Fang' hood. (A total of 500 Yellow Fevers were built in 2005, of which only 300 were QuadCabs). Factory Dodge 22” alloy wheels mount 40-series Fullrun performance radials. There is a distinctive functional spoiler arrears and the bed is fitted with a Ram bed liner. An all-original interior has SRT embroidered, bolstered bucket seats (similar in design to Recaro seats) upholstered in Dark Slate Gray leather/suede. Convenience and safety equipment includes air conditioning, power steering, driver/passenger airbags and power tinted windows. Other features include power locks, keyless entry, sliding rear window, anti-theft, tilt wheel, cruise and power driver/passenger seats. Sounds are provided by a premium AM/FM/CD stereo system. This entire 'Yellow Fever' package is in top-shelf condition.
The naturally-aspired Viper V-10 power plant utilizes electronic fuel injection, an aluminum cylinder block w/cast iron liners and cross-bolted main caps. Standard equipment also includes a HD cooling package w/aluminum radiator and a remote oil cooler. The engine is mated to a Chrysler 48RE 4-speed automatic gearbox and Dana 60 limited-slip rear differential with 4.56:1 gears. Stopping power is provided by 4-wheel ABS disc brakes with four-piston calipers and 15”f/14”r rotors. Brake cooling ducts are integrated into the front fascia. A custom tuned chassis utilizes Bilstein shocks and low-profile performance springs. An additional rear shock was also added to control wheel hop – imagine that.
