STK 3605 1964 Triumph TR4

The Triumph TR4 was intended to instill fun into the motoring experience. The very nature of this Triumph's performance rendered it a perfect British sports car - ideal for fun-and-games and rallying. The 2138cc engine output 100hp and was able to push the TR4 to speeds exceeding 100mph. This spectacular 1964 Triumph TR4 has been professionally restored to the highest of standards - better than new (extensive documentation/receipts included). The body was beautifully refinished in Ebony Black and all chrome is outstanding. A new set of 15” Minator 'MiniLite-style' wheels mount fresh Vredestein radials. The interior was completely redone and the Gray leather upholstery is stunning. Door panels, carpets and dash pad are excellent. There is a classic 'banjo' wheel and the dash is fitted with refreshed Lucas/Jaeger gauges (MPH speedo). A new black soft top is manually operated and a full zippered tonneau cover snaps in place perfectly. The immaculate engine compartment is home to a 2138cc OHV 4-cylinder engine was totally built. (The current owner is not positive that it is the original engine, but it is very unlikely that it was replaced.) New components include: crankshaft, pistons/liners (87mm overbore), crank/cam bearings, cam/lifters/push rods/rockers, valves/guides/seals, timing gears/chain, Pertronix distributor, coil, all pumps, main seals, generator, polished rocker cover and starter/flywheel gear. The dual 175 Zenith/Stromberg carbs were rebuilt by Joe Curtor and a new alloy radiator was installed. The powerplant sounds strong through a complete stainless exhaust system. There is virtually nothing else you can do to this motor - it is right. The powerplant is backed by a Vitesse 5-speed transmission package that includes a fully-synchronized modified Mazda Miata gearbox, custom bellhousing, complete clutch assembly and driveshaft. The chassis was also completely refreshed. Parts include new rack/pinion steering components, all brake components, wiring harness and fuse box. The front suspension is new and the rear suspension was totally rebuilt by Triumph specialist Apple Hydraulics. The differential was examined, declared in good nick and new seals were installed. This stunning TR4 roadster is way better than new and does the famous Triumph brand proud. It will not be here long - move post-haste. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
