STK 2532 1929 REO Flying Cloud Street Rod

Ransom E. Olds created the REO brand of cars and heavy duty trucks in 1905. The REO 'Speedwagon' truck line was legendary for its toughness and reliability….and provided a great name for the rock band. REO's innovations and engineering concepts, such as hydraulic brakes, were far ahead of their time. REO produced their automobiles through 1936 and the Flying Cloud was the top-shelve offering. Our 1929 Flying Cloud was the recipient of a well done restoration with a broad range of mechanical and cosmetic enhancements, all meticulously carried out. The end result is truly amazing. From the stunning Grey cloth interior to the beautiful Dark Chocolate Brown exterior w/pin-stripping, nothing was left to chance. Cruiser wire wheels, enormous chrome components and a stylish dash with VDO vintage-style gauges are just some examples of the craftsmanship that has gone into this vehicle. A catalogue of convenience features includes Vintage Air, power moon roof, tinted windows, Grant tilt wheel, Ron Francis switches, seat belts and brass foot-rests/grab-bars. Gone is the 268ci straight-six engine and 3-speed manual transmission. Power is now provided by a GM LT-1 350 small-block. The engine, 4L60E automatic transmission and rear differential (3.30:1) were donated by a 1995 Camaro Z-28. The LT-1 has a Street and Performance belt system, shorty headers, new Opti-spark/water pump and plenty of chrome. The fuel system was refreshed with a tank cleaning/coating, lines and new fuel pump. Suspension upgrades include power steering and 4-wheel GM power disc brakes. The current owner (11 years) has taken meticulous care of the REO and kept comprehensive maintenance/service records. This is the 'Ultimate' version of the REO Flying Cloud and it will vastly improve the value of your garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
