STK 2539 1972 Shasta Compact Vintage Camper Trailer

The Shasta Compact Trailer was introduced in 1961 and then reintroduced as a similar model, the Shasta Airflyte, in 2015. A classic - what else needs to be said. Our vintage 1972 Shasta is a one-owner Compact that has been stored inside (SC) since 1983. It is more original than restored. The partial 'restoration' included new paint, some new interior upholstery, interior lighting, wheel bearings and tires. The rest of what you see - ice box, cabinetry, propane stove (never used), hardwood paneling and trim - is original. This travel trailer seems to have traveled only in a time warp. Other features include a large roof vent, full screen door, LPG tank and Thermo-Thik wall insulation. One of the biggest benefits of the Shasta Compact's size is its ease of towing. The original sales flyer states that 'The Shasta Compact can be towed by nearly any compact car.' Basic towing specs are: weight - 1,125 pounds; length - 13ft; width - 6.5 ft; tongue weight - 175lbs. These specs allow for a wide range of tow vehicles in today's market – virtually any size SUV, crossover or pick-up will do the job. Another benefit of the Compact's lightweight is that it can easily be moved around the campground by hand with just the hitch wheel (included with the camper). Factory levelers and canopy poles are also included. The original canopy is in need of replacement. The Shasta comes with a clean South Carolina title. Pictures do not fully convey the originality of this camper - it is amazing and will not be here long. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
