STK 3536 1972 Chevrolet Corvette
This 1972 Corvette coupe has been partially restored to virtually original condition. It does not appear that this car has been in a fight - all of the gaps are straight and true and all of the body components appear to be factory. That said, the original War Bonnet Yellow finish has weathered over time. Chrome accent pieces are in very good condition and there is a luggage rack on the rear deck. The restored 'Deluxe' tan leather interior is in very good condition. Dashboard, door cards and carpeting are all nice. It is equipped with cold R-134A A/C (new compressor-condenser), tilt wheel, tinted windows and good rubber door/window seals. A new heater core has been installed and the factory gauges work well. Tunes are provided by a JVC AM/FM/Cassette sound system. Under the hood, the engine is said to be original with the correct casting numbers. The 350ci small-block was professionally rebuilt to stock specs. Machine work included align boring, bearings and ARP bolts. The heads received a complete refresh and grind. All valve seats were replaced with seats compatible with unleaded fuel and new exhaust valves were fitted. A new cam ground to stock specs was installed and new correct exhaust manifolds were installed. The factory Rochester Quadrajet 4V carburetor was completely reconditioned by a specialist in California. The engine then received a complete tune-up and new components including a radiator, water pump, fuel pump and engine shields. The small-block is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission w/new clutch assembly and posi-traction differential w/street gearing. The solid chassis has power steering (new components) and power 4-piston caliper disc brakes. Excellent Cooper performance radials are mounted on 15”x8” GM Rally wheels w/centers and trim rings. If you are looking for an original Corvette coupe that been mechanically refreshed, come take a look at this C3. It may need paint, but little else. You will not be disappointed. Credit card transactions are ONLY accepted for the $500 deposit to hold the vehicle for 7 days while awaiting full payment.
