STK 3600 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

The 1957 BelAir may arguably be the most popular of the tri-five Chevrolets. This 2-door hardtop is an excellent restored (2013) example of this classic. The Chevy left the factory as a model 210 hardtop, but was converted to a BelAir with all of the correct exterior and interior trim. The only exception is the upholstery which was restored with 210 fabric. The body is straight and true and the two-tone exterior was resprayed and is in very good overall condition. There are a couple of spots where oversights in the preparation phase caused very minor blemishes under the Calypso Cream finish, but they are barely noticeable. All chrome/gold trim looks virtually new and GM rally wheels w/spinner centers mount radial whitewall tires. The restored interior is also in very good condition. Upholstery, dash, door cards and headliner are all nice. The Chevy has some unusual factory options – a stop light prism, a 'swing-out' tissue holder and a 'Flame Out' vacuum powered ashtray. All window glass is tinted and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette sound system has also been installed. We believe that the motor is the original 283ci engine that was said to have been rebuilt in 2013 and appears to be totally stock. It is equipped with a 2-barrrel Rochester carburetor, 'rams-horn' exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust. The first-generation small block is backed by a 2-speed PowerGlide that shifts nicely and the muted rumble from the exhaust is music. The chassis is equipped with manual steering and manual 4-wheel drum brakes. This beautiful Chevy hardtop belongs in your tri-five collection. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”
