The 1958 Impala is a classic Chevrolet known for its unique design and powerful performance. It featured distinctive styling including signature triple-taillights and chrome accents that set it apart from other vehicles of its time. The interior of the Impala offered a comfortable and stylish driving experience with luxurious upholstery and modern amenities for added convenience. This beautifully restored 1958 Impala Sport Coupe is an extraordinary example of this classic. The Cay Coral/Artic White exterior was professionally reshot in 2010 and remains in excellent condition. The body is absolutely straight and all trim looks virtually new. Rear fender skirts and 14” Coker wide-white radial tires w/factory spinner hubcaps provide perfect accents. A '50s era continental kit completes the stunning exterior package. The only thing that rivals the exterior of the Impala is the completely restored interior (2010). Cay Coral/Crème stripped cloth/vinyl upholstery is the factory pattern and is accented by the 'newly-designed' Impala steering wheel and handsome dash. The factory AM radio w/rear speaker is still there, but needs TLC to play your tunes. (Dual antennae are mounted on the rear fenders.) There is a classic 'traffic-light viewer', window glass is tinted and the owner has added Vintage heat/air that functions perfectly. The current owner (13 years) has even provided 1958 Sales Literature from State Chevrolet in Youngstown, OH.
Under the graceful hood sits a strong 348ci 'W' series big-block. It has been carefully rebuild and is equipped with a tri-power 3x2 intake manifold, three Rochester 2-barrel carbs and dual exhaust. This 'Super Turbo-Thrust' V8 outputs 280hp and 355lb/ft of torque and is backed by a three speed manual transmission w/column shift. The chassis is equipped with four-wheel drum brakes and power steering that utilizes the factory set-up wherein the power assist-pump is incorporated with the generator.
